Our Story

In the middle of 2022, we’d come to a crossroads. Having worked for over ten years cheffing and food writing we wanted to set up our own business. 

 

It made sense, we’d already been cooking together for years and helping each other with countless recipe ideas, so why not commit to working together full time – what the hell, we’d just gotten married anyway. 

 

First, after a relentless few years of work, we needed to replenish our creativity, and, as we don’t do anything by halves, we hosted two supper clubs then moved out of our rented flat in London dumping everything at Adam’s mums (thanks mum!) and headed off travelling for four months, the very next day! 

 

One night, sat on tiny plastic chairs by the side of the road in Vietnam and still basking in the glow of a mind-blowing bowl of noodles, we got the bones of our business down. 

 

What is our passion? Cooking, writing (and eating) properly delicious food. 

 

The reason we work in food isn’t because of the views or likes – it’s about writing a recipe that brings people joy when cooked at home, and watching people clean their plates at our events.
